Needlepoint/Canvas work Needlepoint is a stitchery technique in which you embroider on a canvas mesh to actually create a fabric. The technique has been practiced for centuries, creating cushions, tapestries, garments, and more. It is truly one of the most expressive and creative art forms, as a wide range of stitches and thread types can be used to create visually exciting textures and dimensions.
